I bring you part 2 of The Mad Adventures of Chris and Angelo!

Say What?

~*~*~*~* Still yesterday . . . ~*~*~*~*

This certainly wasn’t the plan.  I was supposed to figure out Rhineheart’s latest project, sabotage it, then high tail it back to my lab.  Not get captured by this ridiculously gorgeous girl who turns out to be my competitor.  Of course, if I hadn’t tripped none of this would have happened.

This including Rhineheart smiling brightly at me.

“Are you sure you’re Dr Chris Rhineheart?” I finally said.

Her smile disappeared, and she raised her brow.  “You still can’t get over the fact I’m a woman?”

“No, I can’t.”

“Do you want me to prove it?”

“Probably,” I said, smirking.  Hey, being her prisoner might not be so bad after all!

“Too bad,” she said, smiling brightly again.  Then she started walking away.  “Lilly, show our prisoner to his quarters.”

“Why do I have to do it, boss?”

“Do you not see that delicious hunk of man-flesh?  I might end up changing my mind.”

I’ve never been called a “delicious hunk of man-flesh” before, but I was glad to see she was just as surprised by my looks as I was of hers.  Apparently, we mad scientists need to get out more.

My “prisoner’s quarters” ended up being one of the guest rooms with a door that locked on the outside.  Oh, well.  She couldn’t keep me in here forever.  Unless she forgets.  And if even half of the stories about Dr Rhineheart’s memory are correct . . . .  Actually, I might be in here for loooooong time.

Since Rhineheart would forget, and I doubted her sprite would let me out, I needed to take care of it myself.

I spent several hours trying to pick the lock, and realized a thief I was not.  Giving up on that, I walked over to the window and laid my forehead against the cool glass.  Since it was night time, the only thing I could really see was my reflection.  I fiddled with the window latch, thinking of another way to open the door.

Window latch?

“God, I’m an idiot.”  There’s a freakin’ window!  I flipped the latch, opened the window and climbed out.  Good thing Rhineheart’s house was only a single floor above ground.  Unlike mine.

There were trees on one side, and an open grassy area on the other.  Like every mad scientist, her place was the only one for miles.  Good for when experiments go horrible wrong, but bad when you want someone intelligent to drink with.  Otherwise, you’re stuck with your assistants.  And mine were none to smart.

Back to my escape.

I could go through the trees, but cutting through the grass would be faster.  Making my decision, I ran.  But I didn’t get far before a white horse cut me off.  The moonlight glinted off its hair, making it almost glow silver.  It butted its head against my chest, causing me to take a step back.  It snorted and pushed again.

“Would you stop?  I’m trying to escape.”

The horse shook its head.

I rolled my eyes, and turned around to make my escape through the trees.  I took a few steps in that direction before a hand on my shoulder stopped me.

“Not that way.  You’re my prisoner, remember?” came Rhineheart’s voice from behind me.  I tried to turn my head to look at her, but her hand against my cheek prevented me.

“Nuh-uh, elf boy.  Eyes forward.”

“Aren’t you supposed to have a horn on your head?” I asked as we walked back to her house.

“I’m a werepony, not a fanciful unicorn.  Jeez, you are just failing in your concepts of me, ain’t ya?”

“Perhaps your beauty in the moonlight overthrew me.”

“Yeah, yeah, yeah.  Keep moving.”

Maybe I’d stay instead.  Miss Chris seemed like she would be great fun.  And my assistants were starting to annoy me.

Gotta love the mind lapses of a mad scientist! Locks on the door but not on the window….mind you, what about the assistant? I didn’t think she would forget about something like that…hm…maybe she has an alterior motive? Grin…can’t wait for the rest!

This is such a fun read 🙂 I love your mad scientist chick. And elf boy … LOL – the image of him posed, as if he is staring out the window thinking, but he is standing there looking at his reflection while the obvious escape eludes him! Ah, brilliant stuff 😉

I loves this story, Kylie-chan. “Like every mad scientist her house was the only one for miles.” Great line! Fun story, sexy mad scientist lady… and her eventual love interest? Or not. Either way, it’s a winner! 🙂

Thanks, Phil-kun! Yes, he’s a love interest. I realized today this was supposed to be a romance, and I only have 8 days to get it there. So I think the next part will have a loverly little time jump of a few months, and we’ll have some mad scientist love.
